A rather messy sketch of Daisy from 's excellent webcomic, Bittersweet Candy Bowl.
I'd like to say I whipped this up in under half an hour. Seems like almost every other artist out there can do this sort of thing within twenty minutes. I guess it's one of those things that comes with practice, so I'm not totally without hope.
All in all, I kind of like how this turned out. There were a few spots I touched up post-scan, but nothing too major. What I really didn't want to do is ruin the whole thing by inking it and erasing whatever pencil marks remained (screwing everything up in the inking phase happens 90% of the time with me), so I just left it as is.
Also, I'm very lazy.
I intended to portray Daisy as an adult, but the head-to-body size ratio makes it look like she's still a teenager. *Facepalm*
Come to think of it, though, even then I'd still be afflicted by chronic laziness. I'd probably be offed by one of my lieutenants before my first month of rule was up. Out of frustration, most likely.
Well, we're all lazy beasts, aren't we? Have you ever read Rudyard Kipling's "Just So" stories? One story shows the creator's anger with man for being lazy, giving them the name "malazy".
If I turn full-furry, I'm blaming you.
...You know, if I had no moral compunction whatsoever.
